Thanksgiving

We did things a little different for Thanksgiving this year. Jake's parents were getting ready to move to Utah (so sad) so we did Thanksgiving a week early with them. We had a great time and great food. And no one wanted to mention the upcoming move. Sorry no pictures...I was trying to remember why we didn't take any pics and I think it had something to do with diapers and changing about seven of them in three hours time. Lucky for you, we have no pictures of that either.

The next day Mel and Elise (Jake's parents) spoke in their outgoing ward. They did such a great job. They are such good and faithful people and I am so lucky to know them. I, of course, cried and told Mel that it wouldn't be so hard to see them go, if they weren't such good people. He promised to try and be a lot more mean to us. Thanks. We already miss them.

On Thanksgiving day we went to my sister Angie's new house for dinner. Tyson and Angie are such gracious host and the dinner was yummy good, as Chase would say.

Okay folks, this is the reason we live in Arizona. Cause we can eat Thanksgiving dinner on the back porch! Isn't that great? It totally makes up for the million degree weather during the summer.

These are apparently the only family pictures we got. But I know we got one with EVERYONE, because I remember wrestling with kids for about 10 minutes, while trying to smile, so my mom could get a picture. We will appreciate it someday.

Katie and Kiera loving Chocolate, the dog. He is for sale by the way. Anyone want a dog?

And the number one thing I am most thankful for? This mask. It was funny.

Date Candy

Two days later I went over to Grandma Chapman's to make date candy. Another family tradition.
This is a secret family recipe and we take that secrecy seriously. There is no messing around when it comes to this candy. I still think Jake married me just so he would have unlimited access to this candy. If you haven't tried it, then I must tell you that is it amazing! I promise! If you have tried it and didn't like it, well then, I have nothing else to say to you.

Thank you for the date candy. It was gone too soon. Keep that tradition going please.
