6-years-old!

Happy Birthday Buddy!I can't believe I have been the mom of Parker for six years!

I truly thank my Father in Heaven for everyday he has given me with this boy.

He is a gift.

Parker is such a special part of our family and is such an influence for good.

He is always willing to smile and cheer you up.

He loves to play around with his brothers and sisters.

He thinks his older brother is so cool.

No one can make Parker laugh like Caleb.

I have actually had strangers come up to me and say "You're Parker's mom!" and then they will continue to tell me how they know Parker.

I had one lady tell me that she knew Parker from school and that Parker brought a special spirit into the classroom and everyone wanted to be around him.

He can even bring out the nice side of someone who is kind of naughty.

He is just so dear.

The other day I had a lady and her two girls stop by my house.

She introduced herself and said that her daughter's had been in preschool with Parker.

I recognized the girls, but knew they were not in Park's kindergarten class this year.

Their mom said that the girls knew this was Parker's house and would beg her to let them come and see him.

They were really shy while at my house, but their mom told me that they talk about Parker everyday. They even play a game where one of them pretends to be Parker and the other one takes care of him.

It just amazed me to think that Parker has touched their life without me knowing it.

Parker loves his dad...

almost as much as his mom...

Hey, I am the one who butters his bread (or puree's it anyway).

Parker's Party

So every year I think about doing a big birthday costume party for Parker.

Then I remember that he hates parties and I would have to ignore him to get ready and carry out the darn thing.

So we settled once again for a small and quiet family party.
Grandpa and Grandma Freestone came down to help us celebrate.

We showed them a good time.

Can you tell?

Parker's cake before it hit the food processor.

These were actually trick candles.

Not a good trick to play on someone that can't blow them out in the first place, but it was all we had. I helped him a little.

Parker opened presents that included new shoes, new pants, a sweet poem written by Amy,

a robot from Caleb, and so on.

He also made out with quite a bit of cash.

Go Parker!

(I don't know if it is necessary to explain Chase in these pictures, we are just learning to accept him, his pull-up, and side bum cheek for who he is)

Happy Birthday Parker! We love you!

Oh, what a great boy that Parker is. I too have been touched by his sweet little spirit. I see the pics of your family and I think the same of all of you. There is something special about that Jones family. Happy Birthday - he has grown so much!
